Nicole's Boudoir Experience

1) What made you choose Satin Dauls Boudoir?

I chose Satin Dauls because I came across some posts on Instagram and read some testimonials that were nothing but positive raving reviews. After browsing the pics, I saw all shapes, ages, colors and sizes, which is not always the case. Then I went and met Brianne at a bridal expo. Once I felt the connection to her as a person, I knew that Satin Dauls was the only option for me.

2) What were you nervous about going into your session?

Honestly, I wasn’t nervous until I arrived outside the building of the studio, but within minutes of entering the studio space, my nerves were put at ease. I did however have concerns about how self-conscious I would feel during the process. But after being glammed up by Lisa and being cheered on by Brianne there was nothing to worry about, except the mouth pout, haha.

3) What was your favorite part of the experience?

Do I have to pick a favorite moment? I loved everything about it. I love how I felt taking the pictures. I loved the occasional gasps or wows I heard from Brianne from behind the camera when a shot was just right. I loved the reveal. I loved making the photo book. I loved wearing the wings! Have I said I loved everything about this experience?!?

4) How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?

Well, what I am really feeling is…when can I afford to schedule another one! Seriously, I feel grateful. I have no regrets in making this investment in myself. I feel kinder to myself now. I want to do more shoots over time to serve as a reminder that we are beautiful at all stages of our life.

5) Did the experience help give you a more positive perception of yourself?

This experience definitely helped me to see the best version of myself. What I also realized, is that the best version of myself is not necessarily a perfect version. It is the version that speaks to me, that when I look at, I feel powerful, confident, strong and beautiful. Even when reviewing the photos, of course there were some I really did not like, but there were so many I was drawn to, despite, or maybe because of, their imperfections. They were real and they were gorgeous!

6) Would you recommend Satin Dauls Boudoir to others?

Absolutely, and I already have. It really is an experience, and one that every woman should make a priority. It will change you.
