Miss A's Anonymous Boudoir Experience

1) What made you choose Satin Dauls Boudoir?

My friend did her boudoir shoot with you and as soon as I saw the photos I knew I had to book. I had done one other shoot with another photographer in the past and while she was very nice, the photos just were not what I wanted. My friend spoke so highly of her experience that I knew I had to book my own shoot.

2) What were you nervous about going into your session?

Honestly that the investment would not be worth the return again. Boudoir is a pretty decent financial investment and a very personal thing. Allowing someone else to see you in that manner can be nerve racking whether it’s the first time or not. It became a little more nerve racking knowing I’d be spending the money again and hoping I’d get back what I wanted this time.

3) What was your favorite part of the experience?

Honestly I think the entire getting ready process! Getting my hair and makeup done, having so many amazing pieces to pick from, enjoying a little wine.. it was like the best version of a girls day!

4) How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?

Amazing! I can’t believe how incredible the photos came out. You captured my vision of how I wanted my boudoir photos to come out exactly. The entire experience from booking to receiving my photos couldn’t have been better.

5) Did the experience help give you a more positive perception of yourself?

I think so! Personally I still cannot believe those photos are me. That’s what I look like? That’s what my body looks like? It’s crazy to see myself everyday and then look at my book and be like, wow this is really me. I can’t believe it.

6) Would you recommend Satin Dauls Boudoir to others?

A million times yes. I already have recommended Satin Dauls actually and personally would love to book another session.

There’s something so powerful about flowers—how they push through the soil, endure the storms, and bloom even after the harshest seasons. That same resilience, beauty, and transformation are exactly what came to mind when my client, a breast cancer survivor, finally stepped in front of my camera for her boudoir session. She had waited for this moment, choosing to book her shoot after completing a deeply personal part of her journey—getting her floral bra tattoo. This tattoo wasn’t just about covering her scars; it was about turning them into something beautiful, something hers. It transformed the story her body told, intertwining survival with art in the most breathtaking way. For her, the tattoo wasn’t just ink—it was a reclamation. After everything her body had been through—the surgeries, the healing, the emotional weight of survival—this tattoo became a symbol of her strength, her femininity, and her choice to bloom again. Instead of seeing reminders of pain in the mirror, she now saw a garden of resilience. And when she stepped into the studio, wearing nothing but confidence and those beautifully inked flowers, it was like watching someone step fully into their power. Every pose, every glance in the mirror, every moment was a testament to the fact that she had survived—and she was thriving.
